"Truly single parents"

Films: Gargoyle-Wings of Darkness (2004)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized Area/Underground

Height/Weight: Twice that of an average human.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: If you happen to bring down a demonic beast, do make sure it's truly, undeniably dead. Because if you don't...well, you'd have no way of knowing considering some creatures just love to bide their time if at first they don't succeed...

History: In 16th century Romania, a monstrous gargoyle matriarch was brought down by a mob and imprisoned in the Earth via a rock. But so much time has gone by, and both natural earthquakes and mankind's actions have caused the beast's prison to give way. It eventually just opened up completely in 2004, and as it turns out, the beast had been practicing the multiplication table by itself for some time. In other words, it had a whole brood waiting to hatch. But first, some good old-fashioned rampaging for this beast to get back into the groove.

Notable Kills: Only a flying gargoyle could make a Ferris wheel ride into a nightmare. That kid's never going to recover from what he just saw.

Final Fate: All of the babies are shot down and killed with ease. The main gargoyle, having already suffered quite a bit of abuse earlier, finds that history repeats when it is once again shot in the chest with a crossbow dart and imprisoned in the ground...again. However, it is later shown that yet another gargoyle patrols the skies. Possibly an escaped Gargoyle child of the brood...

Powers/Abilities: Apparently, gargoyles self-fertilize, and grow more resilient with age.

Weakness: At a young age, gargoyles are vulnerable to anything. Blunt weapons work for the adults.

Scariness Factor: 2.5-An explosive breeder of a demonic monster should be scarier than this, but the CGI is bad even by regular Syfy standards. Also, adult or not, it goes out like a chump.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "Gargoyles' Revenge".

-Once again, it is ironic how gargoyles are the antagonists, as in countries like Romania, they are erected on sacred buildings to act as guardians to ward off evil.
